In these difficult times we are challenged to look beyond our own needs and care for those less fortunate.  For this reason, I am asking for your prayers and support of our 2009 Bishop's Appeal for Catholic Charities and Church.

Your generous response will allow Catholic Charities to continue serving the growing number of our friends and neighbors in need.  There has been a 35% increase in the number of people requesting help!  In addition, your assistance will support diocesan ministries that enhance the spiritual life of our Church.

As of August 4, 2009 we received pledges totaling $3,383,654 toward our goal of $3.6 million goal.  These gifts are from 23, 595 donors.  We are almost there and you can still help us reach our goal by making a donation and by praying for the success of the 2009 Appeal for Catholic Charities and Church.

Today's Sacrifice...Tomorrow's Church Capital Campaign Update

The historic Today's Sacrifice...Tomorrow's Church capital campaign will have a lasting affect on the Church in the Diocese of Youngstown.  Thanks to the generosity of 25,000 households, over $32.1 million was commited to the campaign that concluded in January 2006.  An additional $6.4 million was committed at 10 parishes that conducted piggyback campaigns for designated purposes. 

As of July 20, 2009, $23.3 million of the $32.1 million committed, has been collected.  A balance of approximately $8.8 million is yet to be collected.  In addition $22.5 million have been allocated to the campaign case elements.  To see a complete report on how the funds have been allocated, click here.
